Accredited Persons Training - MAF Approved Transitional Facility
We are an approved independent training provider for the MAF Biosecurity New Zealand Accredited Persons (AP) training course. We provide biosecurity awareness training for anyone wanting to become an "Accredited Person" for checking sea containers, or needing to renew their certificate.

MAFBNZ requires all sea container facilities to nominate one or more MZFBNZ Accredited Persons (AP) to be responsible for checking imported containers for pests and contamination.
Our 3 hour workshop covers biosecurity awareness for Accredited Persons, and provides you with the skills needed to carry out sea container checks in accordance with good quarantine practices.
We can train new staff wanting to become an AP or existing staff needing to renew their current certificate.
Workshop includes:
- Defining biosecurity and why it is important
- The role and responsibilities of an AP in biosecurity
- Evaluating a Custom Delivery Order and Biosecurity Authority Clearance Certificate (BACC)
- Checking a sea container for contamination
- Completing a container log sheet
- Releasing a container on the new Accredited Persons website
- Understanding transitional facility requirements
